A lovely family based near Hyde Park Corner is looking for a warm, active and enthusiastic Buddy to join them on a long-term basis and become a positive role model for their two boys, aged 13 and 15.

About the family

The boys are sporty, enjoy cooking and love travelling with their family. The family requires someone who is confident to help with GCSE preparation and homework.

What the family is looking for

The family would like a Buddy who:

  • Provides regular support with homework, schoolwork and revision.
  • Helps the boys plan and manage assignments, projects, exams and school deadlines.
  • Encourages strong study habits, organisation and time management.
  • Helps the boys prepare for the school week, including keeping track of timetables.
  • Encourages independence and responsibility.
  • Takes part in sports and activities with the boys.
  • Gets involved in cooking and encourages the boys’ interest in the kitchen.
  • Runs occasional errands for the family.
  • Is a fun, dependable and positive male role model.

The role

The Buddy will play an important role in helping the boys become increasingly organised, confident and independent as they move through their teenage years.

The Buddy would be required to work every other weekend and will have every other Friday afternoon and every other weekend off. Exact weekend hours are to be discussed.

About the family

The boys are sporty, enjoy cooking and love travelling with their family. The Manny will accompany the family for approximately three weeks during the summer holidays, so someone who enjoys travelling would be ideal.

What the family is looking for

The family would like a Buddy who:

  • Is sporty, active and happy to take part in activities with the boys.
  • Is fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Is a confident driver.
  • Is happy and able to travel internationally.
  • Enjoys cooking.
  • Is warm, reliable, organised and enthusiastic.
  • Can build a great relationship with teenage boys while providing appropriate boundaries and guidance.

The role

The Manny will help the boys become more organised, confident and independent. Duties include school runs and transport to activities; support with schoolwork, homework and schedules; sports and cooking; occasional errands; and travel with the family during some school holidays.

The working week will average approximately 40 hours, with Wednesday off following the morning school run and every other weekend off. Full scheduling details can be discussed with suitable candidates.
